Becky is Vice President of the IASAR.  She is a pilot and shares the love of flying with her husband, Charlie, and serving the community with other members of IASAR. 




Tom Foreman Jr.
Crew Chief, First Responder

Tom comes from a mechanical background, starting with working on cars at a very early age with his dad. Besides working for his parent’s electrical business, he has his own metal fabrication & machine shop. Tom comes from fixed wing aircraft experience, working on T-28's and a B-25, as well as just having finished his pilot training, now preparing for his checkride and test. Tom wanted to serve in the military as a pilot and was unable to, so is using this to serve the community.  He joined IASAR very early on and after working on the restoration, has trained the aircrew and crew chiefs, and heads up the maintenance of the Huey. Tom & Charlie are spearheading the C-47 restoration project




Jill Fewell

Executive Director, First Responder

Jill's background includes real estate, marketing and the jewelry industry, where she met Charlie over 25 years ago.  She has always been enthused by Charlie's passion for his faith, family and flying.  Jill is a First Responder and handles all of the coordinating of IASAR events, marketing, scheduling, membership and the website.  She has enjoyed meeting such diverse people who have been touched by IASAR's mission. She works to improve the organization on a day-to-day basis.

 


Bill Akin

Hangar Manager, First Responder, Veteran 

Bill got involved with IASAR in early 2008.  He served in the US Army in Europe, Vietnam era.   Bill retired from Indiana Bell/Ameritech/AT&T.  He is a retired detention systems electronics technician.  Commercial FCC licensed radio technician. Bill has served as a volunteer fire fighter.    Had taken fixed wing flight training where the interest in aviation was established.  Bill is the Hangar Manager and oversees inventory, communications and many duties of IASAR.



Jim Howard

EMT, Paramedic Instructor, Veteran

Jim is a Vietnam Veteran, serving as a Marine, and later was in the National Guard Reserve.  He has been in public service for over 39 years, as a Deputy Town Marshal, Ambulance Owner/Operator, Firefighter, Paramedic Supervisor, EMT, Deputy Coroner, Death Scene Investigator, EMT Trainer and is affiliated with Indiana Task Force 1 and FEMA. 

Jim is also a master repairman and has done a fantastic job training the Aircrew as First Responders.  He keeps IASAR up-to-date with medical, procedure and equipment changes that may affect our mission.



Allen Denmark
Crew Chief, Veteran

Allen served the Army for almost 12 years and was stationed in RVN the first trip with the 192nd AHC in PhanThiet.  His second country in RVN was the 281 AHC in Nha Trang.  His last tour of duty was with the HQ company 18th Engineers and also spent 4 years in Germany, in Mannheim, Coleman barracks.  Allen got involved with IASAR after hearing Charlie speak at a Warbirds meeting one evening. He has been a huge part of IASAR for over 5 years and considers it a privilege to be working on another Huey.
 
 

Richard A. Mueller

Crew Chief, First Responder, Veteran

Richard started coming up to the hanger to help out with the restoration process after being invited by Allen Denmark. He has been with the organization since March 2008. Richard was a former crew chief and mechanic on Hueys and served time on them in Vietnam. He is also a former mechanic and paramedic and wanted to get into the challenge of restoring a Huey back to flying condition.



John T. Feeser III,

Videographer, Assists in retrieval of needed equipment

John has been a member since 2006, after learning of the IASAR Huey restoration.   Enjoying out of the ordinary activities, IASAR sounded like a good fit for him.  He has travelled all over the country on “missions” to retrieve aircraft and components. John is a police officer and has worked in law enforcement for 19 years.  He provides security and helps with photography & videos for IASAR.

 



Olaf Tessarzyk

Test Pilot, Instructor

 Olaf has 12 years experience in the German Armed Forces. He is a certified helicopter instructor with over 3000 hours in rotor wing aircraft, a licensed helicopter test pilot for the German Forces, and a squadron commander, leading a test flight and maintenance squadron of over 200 soldiers and 100 civilians.  He has been awarded several federal armed forces honors awards for outstanding military and aviation performance.  Olaf  is a distinguished graduate and class leader of the Army Aviation School in Ft. Rucker, Alabama. He also holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Federal Armed Forces Academy S.L.




Tim Payne
Pilot, First Responder

Tim has been a helicopter pilot since 1999 when he built his own Rotorway Exec 2 seat helicopter. He has been involved in installing and maintaining the radios and intercom systems in the Huey. Tim is a certified first responder along with most of our crew to be able to assist our community in an emergency.



Paul “Ponytail” Cauley

Flight Director, Aircrew, Veteran

Ponytail Paul served in the Army, as an infantry solider and as a door gunner.  He discovered the IASAR through his interest in the Huey aircraft and his association with Johnny Walker, Charlie Walker’s brother.  Today Ponytail spends time working with the Republican Party and helps organize campaigns.  Ponytail is our liaison to Mayor Ballard's Veterans Services and heads up our military outreach program.





Teresa Bartlett
First Responder, Aircrew

Teresa has a lifelong passion for all things aeronautical. With a strong background in engineering, physics & graphics, she assists the organization as needed.  She discovered IASAR through Tim Payne. She has helped IASAR with branding,  donations, inventory and aircrew duties.  Teresa has always been helpful in many IASAR duties and is always willing to roll up her sleeves and dive in to the next project!




Fred Fritz

First Responder, Aircrew

Fred became interested in helicopters after taking a four-hour ride in a Robinson 44 during a trip to Alaska in early 2010.  Since that time, he has taken helicopter lessons and has sought out further education about helicopters.  Fred has worked in insurance for 28 years, has degrees in political science and business administration, and mentors college students. Fred’s Green-wing Macaw, Auggie, has become something of an unofficial mascot for IASAR and can occasionally be found around the hanger during the warmer months.

Sheryl Cole

First Responder

Sheryl joined the crew in the fall of 2010. She was inspired by the IASAR mission. She is a retired postal worker and has a private pilot’s license in fixed wing aircraft with an IFR rating. Sheryl handles hospitality and new members for IASAR.



 

Mac Shera

Restoration assistant, Photographer

  

Mac is the nephew of Charlie Walker, the President of IASAR. He grew up talking about helicopters with Uncle Charlie and remembers the purchase of the Huey.  He has worked hard, under what have sometimes been adverse conditions, to help restore the Huey. He now focuses primarily on photography for the organization. 


Aaron Pierce

Kent Morgan

Aircrew, Veteran

Kent served in the United States Coast Guard, he was in search and rescue for over three years as officer-in-charge of his own rescue unit and spent one year in USCG Port Security under the USCG Captain of the Port in the world’s largest harbor; Hampton Road, VA.  He has degrees in history, political science and business administration and is now retired from the world’s largest bank.  He discovered the IASAR through his interest in the Huey aircraft and his association with his best friend, Ponytail.  Today Kent spends time working with the Republican Party and also, is very involved with many philanthropic causes in the City of Indianapolis.
